The first one completed, of two sculptures I'm building simultaneously. Tatanka was made using my embedded pieces building technique (I'm building the other one using my layered texture technique).
Tatanka is a life-sized American Bison bull. He’s made of all sorts of scrap, if you try to identify all the pieces, good luck because I can’t. It took about 400 lbs. of chain to make the front half look woolly.
We had a live one standing next to my truck this summer while in the Badlands (South Dakota). He looked petty scrappy and intimidating.
At least you can pet this one without dying.
